The Public won a RGD So(cial) Good Award!
We won an RGD So(cial) Good Award for our participatory design project with The Council of Elders are Newcomer Women’s Services Toronto.
This participatory project honours the voices and experiences of diverse elders across the City of Toronto. Through a series of inter-generational workshops, elders and youth worked together on various activities including filming a short PSA and writing and starting in a talk-show video.
Our project was a judge’s pick:
“As people are living longer and longer, the traditional connection with family is breaking down. This project is a great example of bringing young and old together, strengthening the future and making the world a better place” —Morag Myerscough
We are so grateful to have been a part of this exciting project, in collaboration with this inspiring group, filmmaker Alexis Mitchell and actress Tabby Johnson.
