Peer leaders workshop at @my_MSG
Yesterday, Sheila facilitated an epic, six-hour creative workshop with the fantastic peer leaders over at @my_MSG. The program, hosted by Springtide Resources, aims to create communities of youth producing positive and affirming messages and ideas about themselves and each other. Peer leaders are working to develop a fifteen-month calendar that will be distributed to middle- and high-school students throughout the GTA. Yesterday’s workshop was designed to get them thinking creatively about making pages of calendar art. The group did some ice-breaker activities, created a design brief and did mini crash-courses in composition, typography and image creation before getting started on their own pages.
