The Youth Opportunities Fund and Grassroots Innovation
For young people navigating multiple social and economic barriers, being engaged in creating solutions for social change within their communities can be difficult. The Youth Opportunities Fund is an annual program that provides grants and capacity-building supports to community-based organizations and grassroots groups serving young people who face barriers to economic and social wellbeing.
To make the YOF as accessible as possible, The Public worked with ArtReach to develop a video and booklet on the Grassroots Innovation Stream of the YOF for youth and youth outreach workers that guides applicants through the application process while affirming the value and possibilities of the work young people facing multiple barriers in Ontario.
